Why buy Ready-to-go ?

All laptops are pre-configured with all the software and hardware specs for your specific needs. So you just plug it in and you're Ready_to_Go!

All have a modem, operating system software, word processor/spreadsheet software, and pre-configured  internet connection and email account.

All machines are second hand famous brand laptops (Toshiba, Compaq, IBM, HP, Dell, Acer, Fujitsu-Siemans, or Sony) & come with 90 Days Warranty.

IMPORTANT: This page lists the range of laptops I offer via Ebay. If you want to purchase one, you must email me at visada@laptop-resale.co.uk and I will arrange a Buy it Now Auction for you.  Allow 14 working days for shipment. (usually much faster - 5 to 10 days)

The following categories reflect typical uses and tasks for laptops. The individual specs of any laptop will vary within each category,  but each will posses the ability to perform the tasks listed in its category's description. The min/max spec range for each category is listed below.
Price Guide

£135 --Basic 
Word Processing/Email Laptop. Will suit someone interested only in writing documents and basic email. Will have operating system, modem, and word processing/spreadsheet software. Storage Memory sufficient for documents and emails. 
Not intended for:
Internet browsing (it is possible but SLOW!), latest games, storing/manipulation of images or sound files. NO CD-ROM Drive. May not have sound
Specs ranges:
Processor: 100 - 166  Ram: 16 -32   HDD 850MB -2.5GB  Screen Size 10.5 - 12.1, DSTN or TFT

£200 --Basic + CD
As above but with CD and sound.

£265 --Basic Surfer
A faster modem and a jump in hardware specs enable internet browsing, light desktop publishing, some games. Screen size at least 11.3", but usually 12.1" Storage Memory variable, but larger than above. 
Spec ranges:
Processor 150 - 233  Ram: 16 - 64  HDD 1GB - 4GB Screen Size: 12.1 - 14.1 TFT

£325 --Intermediate 
Faster processor & larger size storage memory. All Screens are at least 12.1" and superior display capabilities (TFT). Will play many popular games. Standard desktop publishing/ web design, better internet 'media player' performance. 
Spec ranges:
Processor 266 - 450  Ram: 24 - 98  HDD 1GB - 6GB Screen Size: 12.1 - 14.1 TFT

£400 --Professional
Another jump in processor speed & storage. Plays most games. Substantially longer life expectancy than above machines. (2 - 5 yrs. newer in most cases.) Many machines of this spec are still in use in the workplace today.

Processor 400 - 600  Ram: 32  - 128  HDD 4GB - 12GB Screen Size: 12.1 - 14.1 TFT

Delivery in the UK at £20 insured, or buyer collects on request.
